Hattersley - History
The picture shows Nimble Nook Cottages on Stockport Road. These six cottages once stood near the juntion with Underwood Road. In the distance is Arundale farm. This area was made into the dual carriageway to Stockport.

Even the industrial revolution didn't change Hattersley from it's collection of small farms and houses.
Change came in the 1960's when most of the farms and houses were demolished to make space for the large
housing estate we all now know as Hattersley.
